Good practice work

The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) supports and promotes the identification, evaluation, description and implementation of good practices in work communities within the field of social welfare and health care.

The good practice process consists of different activities such as identification, evaluation, condensation, validation and dissemination.

Thematic learning networks and a model for describing good practices

The work is carried out through thematic learning networks. The networks ensure that information on good practices is generated in each subject area.

THL has developed tools for the different stages of the good practice process. One of them is a model for describing a good practice. All of the learning networks have good practice tutors who can help in drafting descriptions of good practices. The tutors also arrange workshops designed to support the good practice work.
