THL and good practices

The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) supports and promotes the identification, evaluation, description and implementation of good practices in work communities within the field of social welfare and health care. The work is carried out through thematic learning networks. THL has also developed a model for describing a good practice.

Database of good practices and other tools to support the process

The Finnish version of the Good Practice website publishes descriptions of social and health care practices that have been evaluated and found functional and/or effective. It also offers the practitioners tools which help them in the different parts of the good practice process. The English website is a more concise version of the Finnish one and thus only introduces the basic concept of the database.
